FRONT SIGHT FIREARMS TRAINING LLC POLICIES
Welcome to the Front Sight Firearms Training LLC Policies page. Please review these policies carefully before registering for any firearms training course.
Our policies outline the rules, requirements, procedures, and expectations that apply to students participating in firearms training courses offered by Front Sight Firearms Training LLC. By registering for a course, students acknowledge that they have reviewed and agree to comply with the applicable course policies.
Front Sight Firearms Training LLC is committed to providing professional, structured, and safety-focused firearms training for students throughout Huntington, Nassau County, Suffolk County, Long Island, and New York City.
Course Registration Policies
All students MUST possess a valid New York State Pistol License to be eligible to attend firearms training courses conducted by Front Sight Firearms Training LLC. While New York State Law allows a person undergoing live fire training to possess a pistol or revolver while supervised by a duly authorized instructor (NRA Instructor), ranges will not allow any unlicensed person on a range due to insurance restrictions.
Students are responsible for reviewing the course description, schedule, location, fees, and applicable requirements before registering.
Registration confirms a student's intention to attend the selected firearms training course. Because course preparation requires advance planning, instructional materials, classroom arrangements, range reservations, and other resources, registration and payment policies apply to all students.
WALK-INS ARE NOT ALLOWED. All students MUST register in advance and complete all required registration forms prior to the start of the class.
Payment and Course Fees
All applicable course fees, deposits, and payment requirements will be communicated before registration.
Students should carefully review the payment terms for the specific course they are registering for. Payment of a course fee constitutes acceptance of the applicable Front Sight Firearms Training LLC registration and payment policies.
Cancellation and Refund Policies
Students are responsible for reviewing the applicable cancellation and refund policy before registering.
Because firearms training courses require advance preparation and scheduling, certain payments or reservations are NON-REFUNDABLE. Students may apply the deposits and payments to another class within 12 months if it is necessary to cancel. All cancellation notices must be made in writing and submitted to fsinstructor@frontsightfirearmstraining.com. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Firearms Safety Requirements
Safety is a fundamental part of every firearms training course.
Students are expected to follow all firearms safety rules, instructor directions, classroom requirements, and range safety procedures throughout the course. Students must immediately comply with reasonable safety instructions given by the instructor or range personnel.
FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL STUDENTS AND INSTRUCTORS, AMMUNITION IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED IN THE CLASSROOM DURING THE CLASSROOM PORTION OF THE COURSE. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Classroom Policies
Students are expected to arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled classroom sessions.
The classroom portion of a firearms training course may include instruction covering firearms safety, applicable laws, responsible firearm ownership, situational awareness, conflict management, and other course-specific subjects.
Students must follow all classroom rules and instructor instructions to maintain a safe and productive learning environment.
Range Policies
Students participating in live-fire training must follow all range rules and instructor commands.
Students may be required to provide appropriate identification, equipment, and any other materials specified for the course.
Failure to follow range safety rules or instructor instructions may result in removal from the training activity.

Students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner toward instructors, staff, other students, and range personnel.
Threatening, disruptive, abusive, or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated.
Front Sight Firearms Training LLC reserves the right to take appropriate action when a student's conduct creates a safety concern or disrupts the training environment.
Alcohol, Drugs, and Firearms Training
Students must not attend firearms training while impaired by alcohol, illegal drugs, or any substance that could affect their ability to safely participate in firearms instruction INCLUDING OVER THE COUNTER OR PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS WHICH MAY IMPAIR A STUDENT.
Safety must remain the highest priority throughout classroom and range activities.
Course Scheduling
Course dates, times, classroom locations, and range locations may vary by course.
Students should confirm the schedule for their specific course before registering and should promptly communicate any scheduling concerns.
When scheduling permits, Front Sight Firearms Training LLC may work with students to accommodate scheduling needs.
Course Materials
